Like other countries, the Central African Republic has its own customs and cultural practices that are unique. Unfortunately, some of these practices have negative consequences, such as accusations of witchcraft against young girls and children, leading to mutilation and rejection by their parents and communities.
Many of these girls are taken in by the Missionaries of Charity sisters but are often forced to leave the home once they turn 18 with nowhere else to go. To help these young girls and children, we aim to create a center that can provide them with guidance and support through various activities. The center will accommodate these girls and provide them with the necessary training to integrate into society.
Our strategies involve strengthening their self-confidence through income-generating activities or by returning to school. We plan to help them continue their studies and provide guidance towards vocational training centers and micro-financing for commercial activities.
Our hope for this project is that young girls will become independent socially, economically, and financially once they reach adulthood.
