Zainab Djiwo Mansary

Co-Founder & CEO

Zainab Djiwo Mansary is a delicate woman with a tender heart. She is reserved and careful when it comes to dating as if her surroundings are filled with potential dangers. Her cautious approach may stem from her unconventional upbringing and challenging childhood. Zainab was born in Bangui, Central African Republic, to a mother from the Democratic Republic of Congo and a father from the Central African Republic, whose origins traced back to Mali, (Narana) and Guinea.

Despite its lengthy history, nothing can stop this Centro-Congolo-Guinean individual from pursuing their passions in fashion and photography modeling. They now also serve as the responsible party for the Foundation I Dreamed.

This young individual, who is about to turn 39 years old, was born in Bangui. Due to her family’s circumstances, she has lived in Guinea Conakry, France, Belgium, and England. She has now created the “Foundation I Dreamed” structure, which aims to bring joy to underprivileged children in Africa. The foundation’s first location and activities will be based in the heart of Bangui.

Exploring the muted hues of Bangui, a city plagued by constant insecurity, Zainab Djiwo Mansary was raised in the traditional Malinke culture. Her paternal family believed that it was crucial for women to aspire to married life. Despite this, Zainab developed a keen interest in modeling at a young age. However, when she expressed her passion, she was met with disapproval and la belled as rebellious. Despite this, in 2004, Zainab’s overwhelming passion for fashion led her to open her first shop in Mouscron, Belgium.

“I found a way to pursue my passion for modeling despite my parents’ reluctance,” said the apprentice model maker. After her father passed away, she decided to pursue modeling and made her debut in front of the public. Her natural presence and ease on the runway led to several subsequent performances, though sometimes she was inexperienced. In 2013, Zainab Djiwo Mansary returned to her birth country, the Central African Republic, after witnessing the chaos caused by the Sekela uprising. She didn’t preach or offer moral guidance but instead devoted her time and energy to helping abandoned and vulnerable children.

Hundreds of children in Bangui were experiencing hunger, violence, and prostitution. Zainab helped them with her eloquent words and perseverance and received support from partners like the French Embassy in Bangui, W.H.O, I.P.H.D, Triangle, Embassy of the United States, IMC, and SFCG. She didn’t expect to solve the children’s problems but aimed to distract them by encouraging solidarity, sharing, determination, and discipline. Her foundation is now trying to balance the enormous needs of the children.
